My Christmas was excellent! The two biggest things I received were a new phone (which I desperately needed as my old phone hates me.) and Caroll Spinney's Autograph. Who is Caroll Spinney you ask? (As I am sure most of you have no clue who he is. I didn't until I read his book.) He is one of my heroes. He is Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch. Yep, my one of my heroes is a muppeteer. Do not mock until you have read the book [The Wisdom of Big Bird (and the Dark Genius of Oscar the Grouch) I highly recommend it. Very short but very great.]

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years :P
It's monday again! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas :DDD
I've been watching Charmed all week. I got season two for Christmas, heh. I also got speakers for my iPod (they work for my computer as well, which is awesome :D), and headphones with a microphone so I can finally get started with that Skype thing. I haven't installed it yet, but if anyone of you feel like speaking to me there when I do, just say so :P
And I finished my Slytherinsocks! :D

Frankee No, I didn't really have time, since I had to study for that chemistry test, and being several hours ahead most of the people there (have I mentioned I really hate time zones?). And jaw surgery sounds tough. My sisters friend had one of those a couple of years ago, she couldn't eat solid food for a really long time. Hope you're not swollen for too long! :D

Do you write fanfic? If so, where? What is it about?
I don't, but I used to. Fan fiction was my first meeting with fandom. I started posting fanfics on a swedish HP fanforum, and that was when I got good at writing (the things I wrote then weren't that good, but I got constructive comments that made me work on it). They were all pretty bad and since then I've found having it easier to write stuff that's all mine.
Do you think making a book 8 to deal with the next generation of kids (Rose, James, Teddy etc...) would be overkill on the series?
Yes. As much as I love Hank's Book Eight song, I really don't want a book eight. Before book 7 I kind of wanted Harry to die, just so Jo wouldn't have the temptation to write another HP book. I know she's too awesome for that though. The series were always meant to be seven books, and I think it should be left that way.
My question, What HP related stuff do you want to do in 2009?
I want to write some good wizard rock and go to the swedish HP con Expecto Patronus 09. But mostly I just want to hang out with awesome Potter people ;)

Ok, so I'm a day late.. but I actually have a very good excuse!
I had a big jaw surgery thing to fix an underbite on Monday.. and didn't get back from the hopsital until Tuesday..and yesterday I was too swollen and tired to post anything.

[12/23/08] In which Odette is totally jazzed about Christmas!
I love Christmas. I love the whole season and the actual day is almost here!
I got all of my Christmas shopping done except for my stepsister. She is IN LOVE with Twilight (Just typing that makes me twitch). So I decided I would get her a CD of TwiRock for Christmas. I was counting on downloading the songs off of MySpace but I cannot figure out how to do it since they changed the way they do things. Tomorrow a church I am acolyting the late service for the first time which should be fun. One of my best friends is crucifer. I am one of the torches and we will make mischief together and celebrate Jesus!
My party was EPIC! Everyone had a great time! Two people cancelled at the last minute but the promise that they are going to make it up to me.
Frankee: I did not participate in the P4A because it was my birthday and I had to spend it with family. I am sure you did great though.
Nina: Your BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK! And your birthday is tomorrow! Happy Early Birthday!

Thursday. I am soooo SORRY!
Omg you guys. My life has been so hectic lately. I'm really sorry that i havent been blogging. I was actually wondering if anyone would trade me days? I have figured out that Thursdays are actually my bussiest day!!!! I am actually seldom home on thurs. It's pretty sad. I also have to do a video log on thursdays too and i can not possibly do this and that! So, anyone that would be willing to trade days please post.
Anywho, the actual reason why i can even post today is because we are having an EPIC SNOWSTORM!!!!! There is like 4 feet on the ground and all the schools are closed. So i had time to do this :] It's actually pretty crazy. A lot of people can't even get out of their houses it is so bad and cars are getting stuck left and right. Oh well. School is off for Winter Break and i can be nothing but HAPPY!!!

Which HP character do you like the most? Is it the one you seem more like (yes/no) and why?
My favorite HP character has to be either Albus Dumbledore, Harry, or Oliver Wood. Dumbledore is just so awesome with his crazy old manish ways and his powerful magic. Harry is just plain cool. I mean the scar says it all. Oliver Wood. Have you seen him? AND he's captain of the quidditch team. Can't get much better than that.

The first one, of course!!! It's just such a happy turning point in Harry's life. His first presents, first Christmas with people he loves. Isn't that what Christmas is all about?

[12/16/08] In which Odette has much excitment!
Tomorrow is my birthday! I am really really excited!
Today I have my first exam then I am the defense attorney in Napoleon's Mock trial. Then I do not have to go to biology!
Friday is my Harry Potter birthday party! And some of my camp friends are coming and I am so excited because I never get to see them!!! I definitely spazzed out on the bus when I got my friend Molly's message saying she could come!
Last night at fencing, I got the Gold Medal for First year Foil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited because this is the first time that I have won something for a sport other than the thanks for playing trophies!

Hey...I think I have cheese on my glasses. And I'm veryveryvery tired, so I won't be long. Sorry.
LAN stands for Local Area Network, which basically means you put together a network of computers together with wires for a weekend or so, and then you play computer games against other people there. I guess it's kind of swedish, the biggest LAN in the world (Dreamhack) is held in Sweden. Some classes in my school has programming on their schedules, and my class is one of them (I would expalin this better, but then I would have to explain the whole Swedish school system, which I'm willing to do, just contact me if so), so that's why people throw these things. I'm not really a gamer but it's fun.

I don't have a set favorite character like most people I know do, which feels weird for me. There are people I just kind of really love when I read the books and they do something awesome, like Neville, or McGonagall. I don't really think I'm like on of them, but Neville's a really awesome character, and I love his developement, and McGonagall is a really awesome and strong woman, she kicks ass! I might want to be like her when I get older ;)

There are people I just kind of really love when I read the books and they do something awesome, like Neville, or McGonagall. I don't really think I'm like on of them, but Neville's a really awesome character, and I love his developement, and McGonagall is a really awesome and strong woman, she kicks ass! I might want to be like her when I get older ;)
My question...Which is your favorite HP Christmas? I can't really decide, but I think I will reread all the Christmases next week ;)

Relax, take it easy...
*NOTE: I wrote this on Saturday and posted it on Sunday. I'm not sure which is worse...

Awwwww, I want Spanish Potter friends! O.o wait, I think I do… YES! I DO INFACT HAVE SPANISH POTTERFRIENDS! But mostly girls from school, not people I’ve met in (non-existing) Potter events.
Ha! Yeah, I can see it now. “Lord of the Rings IV: In which Frodo (finally) gets laid and lives happily ever after” I heard Boromir gets resurrected in this one *crosses fingers*. What’s LAN? [12/9/08] In which Odette is in the opposite mood from last week.
Yes last week I was very grumbly, sick and upset. My sister was coming home. My cold forced me to leave school early and not go out to dinner with my family so as not to infect them. So i did not have to see my sister! Though she is coming home Friday, I am trying to live in the moment.
Last night at my Fencing Lessons, I was the only girl save for the moms. We continued our pool from the week before because we are doing a little tournament thing and the winners get medals. So about three people from my pool were not there. I had yet to fence any of them so they all forfeited their matches with me. So I fenced three of the guys that were there. I beat each one! Also the coach found out that one of the guys was in French 1 and started calling the bouts in French. I am in French 3 and I am not doing very well because the subjunctive=my enemy passe compose=my worst enemy. But I understood everything he said and why he said it!
Frankee: SO I was sad about your inability to knit and I was trying to find you a comic strip I had seen but no luck. I am just going to describe it even thought it will not be as funny. There is a snake sitting there with knitting needles. He is reading a book entitled "Anyone Can Knit" and the caption reads "Lenard was hopeful"
Katie: You must have a long winter break. My exams start next week (I have two on my birthday!) So we get about two weeks off and then it is right back to school!
Ron: What is LAN? I is very curious. Oh and that sucks about the Nazis. WWII fascinates me. I think that is one of the reasons that I love Harry Potter so much because of the similarities between it and WWII. I actually did a report on Hitler in 6th grade. Honestly, do you like Snape, as a character?
Yes and no. He is a complicated man so he deserves a complicated answer.

December 8th.
Hey, it's Monday again! Hope you all had a good weekend :)
The Beedle The Bard release thing I went to was really awesome! I was there for ten hours, and even though it rained a lot (a lot, yes) the last hours, it was really fun to hang out with my Potter friends <3
We tricked a few people who asked about what we were camping out there for, we said that we were waiting for the fourth Lord Of The Rings book. Three people believed us xD
Other things that have been going on here in Sweden...there was a bunch of nazis in my little village this weekend demonstrating >.< I hate theeem, they come every year and make my village more notsome that it is, and we haven't done anything! xO
I was at my school all weekend though, we had a LAN :P It was awesome, but I miss it and a certain person is very cute when he's sleeping, and I don't want to have a crush on hiiim. Eh. xD anywho...

Christmas Cheer!
Yes, it's me again, the last-minute-blogger...
But, alas, it's still finals week and it'll still be next week, so...
Yesterday I stayed up 'till 3am studying for an Art History, only to wake up at 7am to keep studying. So, no, this isn't the way to start a weekend, but hey, this weekend includes Monday, because I don't have school on Monday (some festivity or whatnot), of course, I do have four exams next week, plus 2 art assignments due, one of which is a copy of a Titian (or Tiziano) painting (piece of cake! -not) and another which is 50% of our grade (isn't my drawing teacher just the cutest?)...
But anyway, my rant/vent is over now. Happy face.
It's been really, really, Really cold this week, and on Monday it even snowed for 5minutes! I was awesome, It's the closest I've been to real snow :D
And well, Christmas is coming soon!!!
I'm a very, very, Very christmas-y person, even if I'm all 'the Grinch' right now (that's just the exams making me crabbie)...
So, last Sunday, in my curch confirmation group we made Christmas wreathes and so this week I decided that I was gonna make one for my house (purely decorative, not religious) and so that's what I was doing 'till a couple of minutes ago :) I'll put up a picture later...
Sorry I haven't read your posts this week, but I've been zombie-like, fueled by coffee.
As soon as I'm done with exams, I'll live, breath and dream blogger :D
But I have a super-secret-special-project I'm doing for the blog, I'll get to it next weekend, hopefuly :) Can you guys guess what it is? No, you can't Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

If your 16th birthday party was themed Harry Potter, what would you do?
Well, for one, I'd have to be my 18th birthday party (I turned 17 on November 13!), but being 18 would mean, not just butterbeer, but Firewhisky too! Hurray!
Well, I'd have a Puppet Pals marathon, I'd do all kinds of witchy snacks (sugar quills and pumpkin pasties), but then, I'd also like to have British food, like a complete British breakfast, even if it's at night. I'd also like to recite "The witches chant" form Macbeth around a chauldron, so I could show my husband that I'm not a failure at potions (Oh, Potions Master, you make my heart go boom, boom, boom... *swoon* *SQUEE!*) and becouse the whole "Double, double boil and bubble... Something wiked this way comes" is way too cool and I know THE WHOLE poem, I learned it when I was 14 (so proud! :D). So yeah, that's about it... Oh, robes too!
Have you ever knitted anything HP related?
Hmmm... I actually bought knitting needles and yarn a couple of hours ago so this questions is *strangely* cointidential, but no, I guess I'll by the Green and Silver yarn next time ;)
I've actualy never knitten before, but I said to myself "use your brain, Kate, log on youtube! It has all the answers..."
Honestly, do you like Snape, as a character?
Well, seeing as I'm married to said potions master...
I just... I'd had liked that J.K. had written more profound thing about while while he was STILL ALIVE... but well, that's what fanfictions for, right? ('couse HP would NEVER have such a ginourmous fanbase without fanfiction).

[12/2/08] Having a cold sucks.
So it is yet another Tuesday.
Last week for me kinda sucked and this week is going to suck. Why you ask? My sister. She came home from college for Thanksgiving (That holiday where you eat too much) and I cannot stand being around my sister. She irritates me beyond belief. It is possibly more irritating how everyone else changes when she is around. I have to stop myself when ranting about her because it can get very ugly very fast. But she is coming home tomorrow as it is her birthday.
Frankee: Pokemon? Explain please. I was never very big into Pokemon.
Nina: You did not have to post on a Holiday! But it is nice that you did. Black Friday scares the crap out of me. The people dying and having a miscarriage. I would never go shopping then.
Kate: I really love the Book of Secrets idea! That is so cool! I really like Won't You Fallow me?
Ch: Congrats of finishing your NaNo Novel! I am still really upset that I had to quit but I am going to continue to write my novel. But I really want to know what you novel is about!!!

December 1st!
Hey wloggers, it's Monday. And December, omg! My sister moves out in about one month ;o
I'm very tired and have a headache (must be NaNo-side effects – I'm done, by the way, and when I've come around to edit the thing I will make sure you get to read it if you want to :D), so this won't be a long post.
But, in spite of things being generally a pain, today is hogsome because I'm getting ready with my Slytherin socks (I've been working on them since March...I took a long break, though), and I've thought of an awesome costume for the Beedle The Bard release thing I'm going to on Wednesday night :D I'll post some pictures next week! :D

Hope the getting Paper Towns to your school goes awesome! I actually got a friend who lives in the south of Sweden, and he got his school to buy like, thirty Paper Towns books, so a whole class could read it, which is awesome since it's really hard to find John's books here :D

Here (late) again!
So it's Friday again!
Still have upcoming exams, so I'm still a bit stressed and have barely used my virus-free computer, but anyway...

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Hello! To those who celebrate it, Happy Thanksgiving! I just ate a whole bunch of food and I am stuffed! I am so happy there is no school tomarrow! Tomorrow is also Black Friday and I am really excited to do some major shopping! Also, my foot is doing oh so much better. I even think there is some nail coming up :) Omg, Frankee, that is the coolest structure I have every seen! I would not mind to have a boulder fall on my foot if i got to climb that thing. Alrighty, so onto the questions.....

no school!
Ah. I'm tired. But it's only 8:45pm.
Anyways..
my day.... lazy. (: finally . needed a BREAK. It's Thanksgiving tomorrow so my school only had a 2 day week. I took some cool photography pictures.(I've become obsessed lately.). You know what I want? A polaroid camera. Not the brand- but the ones where you take a picture and develops it instantly? That'd be pretty sweet.
So, sorry, but the rest of this post may be quite long.

I already own a copy (signed by john!)(I just saw him and Hank like a week and a half ago...did I talk about that?) And I actually have Harry, a History right now. It's sitting open on my bed. I'm on the chapter about Harry and the Potters. It's really interesting, but it makes me sad I didn't get involved in the fandom sooner.(& you're lucky you get Christmas a day sooner! I have to celebrate Christmas and Chanukah..long story.)

Do you think that Twilight will be bigger than Harry Potter?
No. Harry Potter has a move vast and solid fanbase. Most of the twilight fans are teenage girls or their mothers who all have crushes on Edward. Well, that's a stereotype. I read twilight over a year ago, and liked it, but I didn't fall in love with Edward(he annoyed me with his cheesiness) and I wouldn't read the books again. I can read Harry Potter over and over, though. We have people of all ages..from 4 to 80(those numbers were totally made up.) & Twilight isn't really original..and the characters aren't very..i don't know..they don't have a lot of depth in my eyes. In HP there's something for everyone. In Twilight there's just the ever-so-common-vampires-loving-humans-but-oh-no-it's-forbidden plot.

Do you think that Twilight will be bigger than Harry Potter?
No. Harry Potter has a move vast and solid fanbase. Most of the twilight fans are teenage girls or their mothers who all have crushes on Edward. Well, that's a stereotype. I read twilight over a year ago, and liked it, but I didn't fall in love with Edward(he annoyed me with his cheesiness) and I wouldn't read the books again. I can read Harry Potter over and over, though. We have people of all ages..from 4 to 80(those numbers were totally made up.) & Twilight isn't really original..and the characters aren't very..i don't know..they don't have a lot of depth in my eyes. In HP there's something for everyone. In Twilight there's just the ever-so-common-vampires-loving-humans-but-oh-no-it's-forbidden plot.

I'm not getting nominated for Blogger of the Year.
But anyway, NO, My dog did not eat my computer. The viruses did.
So, sorry I couldn't post, I'm barely using my computer as it's virus-loaded, and next week just happens to be the start of finals before Christmas break :( So, yeah, It's a bit hectic right now, but it'll be over soon... I hope.
I'm taking a little break right now from studying and.... Who am I kidding? I JUST WATCHED THE TWO NEW HARRY POTTER TRAILERS!!! *Squee!*

Do you think that Twilight will be bigger than Harry Potter?
Hmmm, I don't know, because Harry Potter is something we kinda grew with (at least me) and it was good then and it's still good now, but Twilight is more part of my young-adulthood (is that even a word?) and it's good too but... seriously, I just kept reading it becouse of Jacob, Alice and Emmett... and Charlie, of course! :D but yeah, topping The Potter is like... topping Grimm fairy tales ;)
Which set of book covers do you like best?
Hmmm, I've just seen the Latinamerican, UK and American editions, but the latinamerican editions by Salamandra (Newt :)) are my favorite becouse they were the first I knew.
So... Vòila!
If you could visit Hogwarts for day, what would you do?
Two things:
1) Recite every candy I know of to get into Dumbledor's office (and hope I don't guess right so I can blast that smug statue) to spray paint in neon pink on his walls "ALBY + GELLIE 4 EVA!" ;D I'm insane, I'm aware of that :)
2) Go down to the dungeons and have my wicked way with my potions master :D

Which covers do you like the best?
I am pretty fond of the dutch covers...
I am a Mass Comm nerd so I analyze them and this one follows the rules of design well without being too safe, imo.
Do you think Twilight will be bigger than Harry Potter?
No. First off, I think Twilight is a stupid book series because the writing is poor and the story is unimaginative. So the fanbase is pretty much composed of 15 yr old girls who think Edward is their boyfriend. There is nothing wrong with fictional bf, mine is Kartik or young Remus. But you have to like the book for more reasons than it has a dreamy character. Our Fanbase is much stronger. We like Harry Potter for many reasons. Some love theadventure. Some love the magic. Some love the writing. Others? Who knows? We all love it for different reasons. Not just because young Remus Lupin is dreamy.

I don't go on the fansites, at all. That is kinda sad.

November 24th.
Happy Monday!
I got Paper Towns last week, and I finished it last Thursday, so you can talk to me about Paper Towns now. I loved it, it was absolutely fantastic.
However, I would like to be slightly more on topic and talk about another book I got last week and just finished reading.
Harry, a History
If you haven't heard of it, it's by Melissa Anelli, the awesome webmistress of The Leaky Cauldron. The book tells the story of the fandom and her life in it, and it's so effing awesome and it makes me so squeefull! Go read it.
I've been home sick (or rather just extremely exhausted and in need of a break) today, which resulted in me reading one of my friends' blog, which goes way back, and I read a bunch of her Harry Potter related posts, and on top of reading Harry, a History, it made me miss the days we were out of the know. And I wish I'd been more active! I was never active online the year leading up to DH, and I just want to go back in time and kick me!
Anywho, it's only a month until Christmas now. Or at least for us Swedes, since we're weird and start Christmas on the 24th instead of the 25th...
Questions!
Which covers do you like the best?
Okay, first of all, I HATE the British covers. They're yuck. I mean, just look at the first book! The British cover for Beedle The Bard is nice though, I'm actually glad we're getting that one in Sweden. Btw, I'm not sure, but there doesn't seem to be coming a Swedish translation of Beedle The Bard, at least not for now. Which I am kind of happy about, since that means a certain woman no one in the Swedish fandom likes won't get to butcher it! But on the other hand, little kids who aren't capable to read it in English should get their chance to read it too.
But anyway, back to the question! the American ones are really nice. I want to have all the American edition in hardback on my shelf as well as the my British and Swedish and one German :P I'll get to that next year.
But the Swedish ones are also pretty good. That's the thing I like about the Swedish version. That and the smell. I don't know why, but the Swedish versions have this smell from the ink or something, and it makes me really sentimental, to think about the days when I'd only read the books in Swedish...
So I'm deciding to go with the Swedish cover of PS/SS as my absolute favorite. I also like the last one, but the color is different on the title which makes me kind of sad.

Hm, I don't think so. I don't want to be one of those HP fans who bitches about Twilight and hates it just because the Twilight fandom is doing the same thing as we've done and we're jealous. But seriously? I don't hope so.
But, I have read all the books except Breaking Dawn (I have it already, I've just not been able to bring myself to read it. Maybe I will read it for English so I can hate it in front of my class! :D), and I just don't like it. Sure, the plot is exciting and it's not boring, but the writing is not that good. And I really don't like Edward. He is creepy and I hate what he does to Bella (I like strong female characters, like McGonagall...), and the fact that every single guy on the planet seems to like her, even though she's oh, so ugly and stupid.
Sorry, I don't mean to offend any Twilightfan! You have the right to like Twilight as much as I have the right to like Harry Potter.
But, to answer the question, I don't really want the fandom to be as big. And it also seems that the fandom of Twilight didn't really have the time to grow as big as the HP one until the books were all out. I don't know, it just seems like there was this Twilight hysteria a few months ago, but then Breaking Dawn came out. The Harry Potter fandom had ten years to be out of the know, waiting for the seventh book and so on.
And I see HP and Twilight (is there a short for that?) as two very different series, and, to me at least, HP has more depth to it.
But I think that answers the question.

I just need to take a brief moment from this blogpost, which is already becoming very long (sorry), to bitch about a Swedish HP fansite. I just googled Beedle The Bard Sweden (to check if there was anything about a translation) and it came up. It's the biggest HP fansite in Sweden, and it's horrible. I looked around on it and it made me nauseous. It's updated, like once a month, if you're 'lucky', and they don't check their sources or anything that you'd think the biggest fansite in the country would do. And the fact that they called Jo's 800-word 'Prologue' a book just makes me want to cry at it's patheticness.
But anywho, PayPal is a bitch, and have an awesome week!

OH MY!
Ok, so today was almost the grossest(sp?) day of my life. A door hit my big toe and the nail fell off. There was a lot of blood and it hurt like hell. On the brightside I got to go home:] Now to the questions....

Yes. I have a lot of stuffed animals because my talent in life is the crane machine:) I do have two very special ones though. One is an elephant named Ellie and the other is a dolphin/ blanket name Christie. I <3 them!

One word: Amazing! I really liked it and I'm super excited for the movie! I am definitely going to the midnight showing.

I love all of the covers! My favorite American cover is the collection edition of Order of the Phoenix and I really like the Deathy Hallows UK cover. I also love the covers for the first book.

I saw John&Hank&Katherine last night, on the last stop on the tour de nerdfighting.
It was great. (:

Ooo, my mom went to London and came home with a copy of Deathly Hallows for me (adult cover).
I might get a wand for christmas.. (I actually really want one of the ones that light up when you flick it..) .. wonder what my brother and sister will say xD

Oh wow, I really don't know. I'd run around like crazy, trying to go everywhere. I would really want to take a peek in the forbidden forest and go to the top of a tower.

It's Monday again! The weeks go by fast, I can't believe it's NaNoWriMo week 3 ;o
Speaking of which, Kate asked where you can find my NaNoWriMo novel and the answer is you can't, if you don't steal my computer. I'm to self conscious to put it up as I can't allow myself to reread and edit, so, yeah. Maybe when I've read through it all. I'll let you know.
As for how to Swedishly pronounce Ch I believe two of my friends say it in this video at around 24 seconds in.

Who is your hardcore ship?
I don't really have a hardcore ship, but I do think Remius (SB/RL) is an awesome one. It's not denied! I think HG/RW is my favorite canon one, since it's been kind of meant to be since forever ;)

I have no idea. I really like cats, and I kind of identify with them in some ways, so maybe a cat.

I don't really have a hardcore ship, but I do think Remius (SB/RL) is an awesome one. It's not denied! I think HG/RW is my favorite canon one, since it's been kind of meant to be since forever ;)

I have no idea. I really like cats, and I kind of identify with them in some ways, so maybe a cat.
If you could visit Hogwarts for a day, what would you do?
I would so go to the library! And run around in the castle, led by the staircases ;)

I don't. I had a few when I was younger, but I'm really bad at committing to those kinds of stuff.

Friday - Kate is now 17!
So yeah, it was my seventeenth birthday yesterday, and gosh! I'm pretty sure I'm now officially the eldest blogger in this project (do I get a medal, diploma or something?).
And well, besides that, yesterday I went to the beautiful town of Toledo (Castilla-La Mancha, Spain) on a school trip and the night before I had stayed up 'till 2am to finish blingging my awsome self-blingged nerdfighter purple hoodie of which I'm very proud of and... yeah, a shout-out to nerdfighters in Europe and The World!
I was re-reading this weeks entries and I have a couple of thing to mention:
- Frankee: really like you profile pic, and I really want a guitar hero (and a playstation for that matter). I also really like Francesca, but how do you feel about Franks or Cesca. Just curious ;)
- Oddette: aww why can't I find a pic of you anywhere? Emazing... hmm, has a nice ring to it. Oh, no! how cruelly shall I get punnished? I suggest you give me a week's worth of detention in the dungeons with the potions master, that'll teach me realy good ;D Oh, and as Self-Proclaimed Queen of the Bibliophiles, I demand that you get more sleep! seriously, Not-sleaping may seem fun, but trust me, after 50 stright hours up, I doesn't seem cool anymore.

Hmm, good question. I'd like it to be an emmerald boa or a black panther or an artic tiger, but I have to admit it to myself: I'd be a white rabbit. Why? well I have a much loved stuffed animal, he's a white rabbit, he whares a tuxido and he's named Don Vitto (it was my Godfather phase). He's not a nice bunny, no! He's the head of carrot dealers and... yeah, he's cute.
Who is your hardcore ship?
For the last year or so... Snarry (yes, Snape + Harry).

Thursday- i just crashed from a "life high"
Yup, that's right, I was just high on life :] I don't really know what to call it but I was extremely happy about life and everything for the whole day. Now I'm back to normal lol. Today was a really good day though. I can't really explain it. All the little things today came together and made it a great day.

[11/11/08] In which Odette is much more tired than she thought possible...
Hey guys!
So wow! We had our first week! A couple things, comments, they are nice. I think every body loves them. Our two who must be punished. I am trying to think of something but I am a little worried because I am going to get punished most likely on my other blog.
SO my Happening weekend was EMAZING! (Yes, E-mazing, it is my new word, long story...) I was a small group leader and my group was the most emazing I could ask for.
Questions
Have you ever been/are you going to go to an HP convention? Sadly no. One of my best friends went to Terminus which made me jealous. But I really want to go to one next summer but I have no clue how.
Who is/ are your favorite character(s) and why? REMUS LUPIN! (Side note: At Happening we were supposed to bring a stuffed animal and I forgot mine so I made the ghost of Remus Lupin out of tissues!) He is probably one of the jokesest characters because he is just so cool. I know that answer is an undigested lump but I am REALLY tired.

Hey, wloggers, it's Monday again!
I'm gonna answer some questions ;)
Have you ever been/are you going to an HP convention?
I have not been to a HP convention yet. I really wanted to go to Erised 08 (a swedish HP convention), but unfortunatley I was in Oxford when that took place. The organizers of that convention are having another one next summer, Patronus 09, which I'm hoping to be able to attend. The swedish conventions are in a smaller scale, so they're not that expensive. It's just a matter of being home.
It would be really cool to go to a convention in the US, but I don't have a lot of money, so that's pretty impossible at the moment.
Who is your favorite character?
I don't really have a favorite character like a lot of people I know have (I know quite a few Snape fangirls...), but I think I have to say that my favorite character is Fred Weasley. It killed me when he died :/
Why do you fit into the house you belong in?
I don't really know how I ended up in Slytherin. I think I'm a Slytherclaw, really, cuz I don't have all of the Slytherinabilities. When people who aren't big HP fans see me with a Slytherin scarf (I wear it quite a lot), they always ask me why I'm a Slytherin, because they don't see me as "one of the bad guys". But I'm pretty ambitious and I know what I want, so I guess that's my answer.
When did you start reading Harry Potter, and when did you become obsessed?
I remember one Christmas when I was six years old (so it was 1999), and my grandparents had given me a gift card for a bookshop in their town. I went to the bookshop with my parents, and I remember I saw the british cover of Philosipher's/Sorcerer's Stone, and thought it didn't look very nice. The swedish covers are pretty nice though. Anyway, I bought the first HP book in swedish. I read the first chapter on a mattress in my grandparent's basement, and I fell asleep in the middle of it. Later when I reread it I didn't remember reading the first chapter, hehe.
Anyway, I don't remember most of the years between now and then, but I got the third book from my other grandparents a few years later. I hadn't read Chamber Of Secrets yet, so I guess I wasn't that obsessed at that time.
But I think it was about that time I really got in to the books.
When I was eleven, I got the fifth book as a birthday present from my grandparents. The swedish translation of it hadn't been released yet, and I hadn't read too much in English before, so I couldn't read it all.
The first book I read when it first came out was Half Blood Prince. Then I waited in line for the midnight release of Deathly Hallows, which was awesome. I got into wizard rock about a year ago, about the same time as I waited in line for the swedish translation of DH (haha, we non-English people get two releases! Not that the translations are that good...), and if everything goes right, I'll be waiting in line for Tales Of Beedle The Bard in December!
Which leads me to my question; What do you think about Beedle The Bard getting released to the public? Are you excited?
And lastly, I need your help. One of my friends says you can't be a nerd! He thinks nerdfighting is unnecessary or something, and he thinks is weird that I'm proud of being a nerd. What should I tell him?

Novemeber 6th, 2008 (actually 7th but its supposed to be on the 6th!)
Hey this is Nina. First of all, I would like to say how sorry I am! My computer totally messed up and i couldn't get my post written yesterday. Urgh. So yea you guys can punish me if you wish.
On a lighter note, despite my lateness I am extremely excited for this project! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I am a 15 year old high school student. I am a sophmore and curently reside in the Evergreen State (Washington), USA.
I first got into Harry Potter in about the second/ third grades. I remember I had bought the set of the first three through a scholastic catalog and was pretty much hooked after that. Harry Potter was pretty much what got me into reading. I was such a horrible reader before I started reading the books and now reading is almost all I ever do. You could say Harry Potter is my savior :]] I fit into the house I am in because Cedric Diggory was in it, so this must be the house for me. I'm totally kidding lol. Even though Cedric is one of my favorite characters, I believe that I fit into this house because I am definitely loyal and a VERY hard worker. I'm actually a very well rounded person. I pretty much could fit into all of the houses. I am proud to be a HufflePuff though! On tot he next question. No, I have never been to an HP party. Sadly I have not attended any HP conventions and did not attend any midnight book releases :[ I always wanted to go to them, but without a car it's kind of hard to get to these sort of things.
To say a little more about me I have to tell you about another project I am in. I'm in a little thing called THEAWESOMENINGJAS! We just started about three weeks ago and are a vlog project on youtube. Everyone pretty mush rants about random things and we talk a lot about books. Everyone shoudl definitely check it out. I'm also Thursday on the project.
Ok, now for my question. I said in the beginning of my post that one of my favorite characters is Cedric Diggory. My other favorite character is Ron Weasley. I like him because he's always there for Harry and is a really good friend. He's also very funny and has amazing red hair! So, my question would be who is/ are your favorite character(s) and why. It's my last year of highschool and after 15 years of saying I wanted to be a fashion designer, suddenly I'd much rather be a graphic designer, or as I found out yesterday, a filmmaker.

When did you start reading Harry Potter, and when did you become obssesed?
It was my first day of fifth grade and we we're introducing ourselves and talking about our hobbies, and when I said that i liked to read, my teacher asked me if I read Harry Potter, and I hadn't, but was curious as to who was Harry Potter?
So one day i want to the library and bought the first book. The movie came out and I was enchanted, three more books later, I was a junkie awiting the next book.
It was just the thing that I didn't know I was looking for, but when I discovered it, my world changed.
Why do you fit into the house you belong in?
As a little girl, I wanted to be in Gryffindor, like Harry.
When I was older, I wanted to be in Slytherin and have a certain potions master very close to me.
My friends say I should be in Ravenclaw, becouse I get high scores in school and I'm very bookish and smart.
But I think I'd actually fit better into Hufflepuff. Why? becouse there I wouln't have to be just bookish and knowledge hungry or just cunning and sly or just brave and brash. I could be loyal, hard working, and over all: me.
I could be all those things and more, and I'd fit in perfectly becouse people wouln't expect me to be a certain way, to fit into a mold. I could be totally unpredictible and unconventional.

It was my first day of fifth grade and we we're introducing ourselves and talking about our hobbies, and when I said that i liked to read, my teacher asked me if I read Harry Potter, and I hadn't, but was curious as to who was Harry Potter?
So one day i want to the library and bought the first book. The movie came out and I was enchanted, three more books later, I was a junkie awiting the next book.
It was just the thing that I didn't know I was looking for, but when I discovered it, my world changed.
Why do you fit into the house you belong in?
As a little girl, I wanted to be in Gryffindor, like Harry.
When I was older, I wanted to be in Slytherin and have a certain potions master very close to me.
My friends say I should be in Ravenclaw, becouse I get high scores in school and I'm very bookish and smart.
But I think I'd actually fit better into Hufflepuff. Why? becouse there I wouln't have to be just bookish and knowledge hungry or just cunning and sly or just brave and brash. I could be loyal, hard working, and over all: me.
I could be all those things and more, and I'd fit in perfectly becouse people wouln't expect me to be a certain way, to fit into a mold. I could be totally unpredictible and unconventional.
Have you ever been/are you going to go to an HP convention?
Sadly, no, I haven't been in at a Harry Potter convention, you see, the chances of there being one in Maracaibo, Venezuela (my home town) were slim to none, leaning heavily on the none.
And now I live in Spain, but there aren't a lot of specific book conventions, or at least that I know of, but if I there were, I'd be camping outside their door for sure.
Well, my laptop crash yet again when I was gonna upload this, so I'll leave it at here for today.

Introduction
Soo, I shall introduce myself first, too. My name is Francesca(fran-chess-kuh) but I find it a heck of a lot easier for people to call me Frankee(even though I don't really like it). I'm 15, and from Minnesota, USA. It's pretty and all here, but I kind of want to get out and move somewhere else..
To answer the questions:
When did you start reading Harry Potter, and when did you become obssesed?
I read my first Harry Potter book in 3rd grade.(8 years old.) I read the first three then, which were the only ones out, and read all the rest when I got them. For some reason I never went to prerelease parties, and now I really regret that. I played the TCG game, saw all the movies the first day. I also, when I was about 9, me and my twin brother would have sticks and casts curses at each other. The sad thing was is that I had the 4th book, and knew where to find 3 spells at once, so we only used the unforgivable curses... ooo, we also had the couldron set! Yeah, so I got into the HP stuff a long time ago. The sad part, though, is that I only really found out there were so many other fans(online and stuff) less than a year ago, and don't really know that many HP fans.(which is obviously one of the reasons I joined this!)

I'm in house awesome because I just had a conversation with the person who sings "house of awesome" in person.
My first wrock show..
I've fantasized about going to a wrock show for awhile now, but there is never anything in this lonely old state. I finally got to go to my first one today! [great timing, eh?] Anyways, it was the Whomping Willows and JFF. There were only like 10 of us fans, but it was still cool. Especially where the place was. It was in this independant book store, the Wild Rumpus, with animals everywhere. Chinchillas and cool birds to a chicken and a cat with half a tail. Yup. I bought a tshirt-and I was going to take a picture-but I'm too lazy.. Sorry! :) but it says "the whomping willows" and then it has a picture of a tree + a music note = <3 style="font-weight: bold;">
Random stuff.
One thing I wish I had was more HP merch. I have a gryffindor scarf (because that's the only one the store sold, and I don't really have the money to buy one online), a stationairy, cards, and that's it. Oh, and now a wrock tshrit. I think I might get a wand for christmas. I really want to go to Azkatraz or LeakyCon! Are either of you going to one of those?I think I'm going to put that in the question bar <- I just don't know know how yet... Anyways, I should stop typing . Yes . K . Bye!
P.S. and today is magical because of the whole wrock show thing :P (i forgot that part..)
